Welcome to my page dedicated to my work as a wedding photographer in Devon. My approach to wedding photography is relaxed, natural and unposed. You should never feel that you have to ‘perform’ in front of the camera. When I first meet people to talk about their wedding photography, they will often tell me how they feel uncomfortable being photographed. If this is how you feel, then you are not alone! It is one of the things that can make picking your wedding photographer Devon feel quite stressful. My aim is too make sure you always feel relaxed in front of the camera.
I like to take time to get to know the couple before the wedding day – it really does help in getting the best from your wedding photography. It also means that I understand more about you and how you are together as a couple. Some people are very tactile, whilst others have a natural space around themselves. It’s really important that the photos from the day should give an accurate reflection of who you both are.
Documentary and Reportage Wedding Photography in Devon
One of the questions that often comes up is what is documentary wedding photography or reportage wedding photography. Both are the same thing. It is all about shooting the wedding in a way that produces a set of images that that tell the story of the wedding day. This style of wedding photography has become more and more popular over the years in Devon and beyond. Working as a wedding photographer in Devon means that, over the years, I have been lucky to document a lot of weddings. Each one has been unique and each one’s wedding photos have reflected this.
My wedding photography style has a bespoke look and feel to it. I have a passion for recreating the colours of vintage classic films. I absolutely love the combination of earthy tones, warm colours and muted greens. WOW! What more do we need to say. Toby was absolutely amazing throughout our whole journey from planning right up until we received our incredible wedding photos. We meet Toby 18 months before we got married and knew straight away he was the photographer for us. He was friendly, easy going and most importantly made us feel extremely comfortable. He knew exactly what we wanted even when we didn’t. We met with Toby again about a month before to go over things again, we were still pretty clueless to what we wanted but Toby was spot on and filled us with confidence. I couldn’t recommend Toby highly enough he was extremely professional with a laid back friendly approach he made us feel like we had been friends for years, he captured our day perfectly with photos we will cherish forever.
